Dear Readers,
I have learnt a lot from here and also my contributions to ParenThots. As Little Muachi is now bigger, I have decided to create a new blog. My new blog will follow little muachi a bit more in terms of fashion, accessories. I will still maintain my product reviews.

3rd Article! Parks Review
My third article came out in ParenThots a few weeks back.
Here's my review on friendly park places for kids in KL
http://parenthots.com/features/Looking-for-child-friendly-parks-in-KL.aspx
For this article, I covered KLCC Park, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa and just my good old neighborhood park which we frequent quite a bit with lil' muachi.
LMM advice: Pants are definitely more practical for parks. Easier for the bub to go down slides and also to protect their knees and legs in case they fall. For Malaysia, it's good to keep the mozzies away too.
Here's some pictures of lil' muachi in our neighborhood playground which was not selected for the article but I thought was quite nice..:) She happened to be in a dress when we took lil' muachi there for some photo taking.

Chomps: Nihonkai Restaurant, Taman Desa
Dear Readers,

Thank you for your support.
Nihonkai is a great neighborhood Japanese Restaurant. The food is fresh and the price affordable.
It is a rather small set up considering the number of customers that goes there each night.
You can eat indoors or outdoors. But there are cons to each:
1) It may get hot
2) You will have uninvited buzzing guests
3) On rare occasions (but it does happen), you will be accompanied by stray dogs nearby
Indoors:
1) There's only limited indoor area on the ground floor. If I remember correctly, there are only four tables.
It's not easy getting tables during peak hours and there's not much waiting area. I would suggest calling ahead or go before or after the peak mealtimes.
Nihonkai has the older type of baby chairs. It does not come with its own little table tray.
It's still one our favorite neighborhood eateries. So I guess it's worth going through the cons to have a meal here.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Dear Readers,
I have revamped and created a new blog. For readers interested to follow my postings, please visit http://zchicchick.blogspot.com/
Thank you for your support.
We recently took lil' muachi for another overseas trip. This time we flew out of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (as MAS was cheaper than AirAsia!).
Juggling lil' muachi at KLIA is extremely easy. Definitely better than LCCT. This place is meant for serious travelers. So maneuvering a stroller there was a dream. Even going through the sensors were made friendly for parents with babies. We were not required to hoist it up to the scanners. And as all airlines, we could push the stroller up to the entrance of the plane. What convenience.
The space in KLIA is massive. You can run up and down anywhere with the stroller and you wouldn't have an issue. Most planes fly out of the terminal connected by the aerotrain. The aerotrain is great. It is frequent and the speed is just right. Simply push your stroller in, put the brakes on and you are on the other side within a few minutes. The bub will love the ride.
KLIA is like a big (premium) shopping mall. They even have activities within the airport to entertain travelers.
There is a KLIA Jungle BoardWalk. If it gets a bit too cold for you or you just feel like a bit of nature, take your bub for a short stroll through this place. It's easy with the stroller. Just be careful when exiting, the pathway slopes down towards the exit.
If your bub is older than lil' muachi (above 2 years I believe), don't forget to check out the kid's play area next to KFC before you go through immigration.
Before I board any plane, I would always make sure lil' muachi has a clean diaper on. Naturally, I try to do it at a proper baby changing room for privacy.
The baby changing room at KLIA is fairly clean. It has the basic features of a baby changing area. The changing compartments are getting a tad bit old but it's not grotty or anything. There is nothing special about this room, except the loo inside..
Introducing the loo...Ok Maybe I have not been to enough baby rooms. But this is the first time I've ever seen a place where you can actually go with your bub.
Moving on, while journeying to your gate, you can take these wonderful inventions - travelators; no walking required. It's amazing. To save time, you can still use them to accelerate your walking. There is also heaps to see at the sides and on top of these things. So it's like a theme park for your bub while you dash through.
Handling lil' muachi at KLIA was a great way to ease into our holiday. Next time I travel, I would definitely try to catch a flight out of KLIA.

Chomps: MacLaren's Restaurant & Pub
I was at MacLaren's for dinner about a week back. I rarely travel to Damansara Perdana as it is a wee bit further from where I live. But my sis got some vouchers and so we headed there one fine night (which turned out to be a celebration for my birthday! ~Thanks sis~)
We were getting quite comfortable sitting outside until the mozzies decided to feast on us. Good thing the only smoker sitting indoors left around the same time.
The food there is A-MAZING. If you are a fan of oxtail soup, try it. Their specialty is their pies. Super yummy. Their fries are delicious (I'm now their big fan). I was so wrapped up with their food that I totally forgot to take any pictures. But there are already reviews made by others on the net. So just go google.
LMM Advice: The place is not exactly kid friendly. Outdoor: Mozzies. Indoor: Smokers.
They have baby chairs which we did not use (as we were not aware of its existence). However, the food is really good and reasonably priced. The waiters were helpful. The owner was really friendly. If I decide to bring lil' muachi there again (which I probably would), I would go for lunch to avoid the pub goers (which hopefully that would help avoid the smokers).
I told the owner that we would be back and I was not lying.

Chomps: Restaurant Hao Wei Dao
We went to Restaurant Hao Wei Dao last night. We only ever go there when GOTH wants his fried rice. I gotta admit, they do a wicked fried rice dish there. Too bad I forgot to take a pic.
This restaurant serves a variety of Asian and Western food. It was fairly empty when we went.
They have decent baby chairs and their dining chairs comes with sofa at one side of the table. So you can comfortably place your bub there too.
Lil' muachi had a lot of fun there as it was not noisy and she got a cucumber from mummy to keep her occupied.
As with the other rows of shops in Taman Desa, there's a lot of stairs at the sidewalk leading up to this restaurant. If you have a stroller, just use the tar road to reach the restaurant.
The waiters there were very accommodating. Good thing too as I am sure GOTH will be having his fried rice cravings again.

Places: LCCT Malaysia
The Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Malaysia is definitely a no-frills airport.
The upside is you pushing a baby stroller at the airport is nothing compared to those juggling their multiple travelling bags. True Fact: At LCCT, everyone maximizes their carry-ons.
Another good thing is that baby strollers are usually considered as a carry-on for airlines but one which you can push right up to the entrance of the airplane and they'll store it for you thereafter.Superb.
Problem is if you are a departing passenger at LCCT, it would seem like it is a standing room only kind of place.
Entering LCCT is like entering a foreign country with people looking like they are squatting at the sides of the building. They are in actual fact resting on these railings on the floor. The only proper seat available is the one Ronald McD is sitting on.
But as you walk towards The Coffee Bean (right side of the building), rows of chairs will come into view. I have no idea why it is only available at Arrivals; but there they were. Indoor and outdoor.
So remember, if you need to sit down, go towards Arrivals.
On the baby changing room, there is really nothing much to say. As any Malaysian public toilets; you would want to go in, do your thing and get the hell out in the shortest possible time span.
The baby changing room is located in front of the Female loo. This is located at the left side of the airport. If I'm not mistaken, it's near Old town white coffee (departure area)
There is really nothing much in there. But it functions and there is privacy.
Like I said before, this is a no-frills airport. So my best advice is to be as prepared as you can with your bub before you fly.

Chomps: Old Town @ 3rd Miles
Dear Readers,
I have revamped and created a new blog. For readers interested to follow my postings, please visit http://zchicchick.blogspot.com/
Thank you for your support.
Old Town White Coffee at 3rd Miles Square is really quite a convenient place to bring a bub.
The biggest issue is finding a parking spot. Be prepared for double parking if you park outside. But once you find a space for your car, it is quite easy to navigate your stroller around. The two most popular eateries there at the moment is Paparich and Old Town. The GOTH and I chose Old Town that faithful lunch hour.
You'll be amazed with the number of things around that will keep your bub distracted.
I had a great time with lil' muachi. It was not hot or crowded. They had a special lunch menu. And the place comes with free wifi!

Chomps: Restaurant Toms Dim Sum
We love the porridge at Toms Dim Sum.
It takes only 4 steps to reach the restaurant.
Now for some reason you are unable to lift your stroller up, just roll it to the end of the building where the street level is the same as the row of shops, and push it to the restaurant from there.
Check out the boiled-to-perfection hearty bowl of porridge. Yum..
Lil' muachi loves the menu. It's all gloss with a spread of lovely dim sum pictures. This will keep any bub occupied. Or at least keep them busy until after you've placed your orders.
LMM rating: 9/10 for baby friendly environment. The smokers are kept outside. Indoors - it is quiet except the chattering of patrons. We would definitely head back there if anything for that bowl of steaming porridge.

Chomps: Sri Ayutthaya @ Damansara Heights
Dear Readers,
I have revamped and created a new blog. For readers interested to follow my postings, please visit http://zchicchick.blogspot.com/
Thank you for your support.
We went to Sri Ayutthaya for lunch last Sunday.
The waitresses/waiters were very accommodating people.
There were three mini steps at the front entrance. Not an issue for any stroller
But then you turn.....whoaa...
I believe there are 17 steps to the dining area. But not to worry. As I've said before, the staff is always at hand to assist.
Once you are upstairs, there is ample space to move around.
We could fit 7 adults, 2 kids and a stroller around one table!
There are various items around that will keep bub entertained.
Their baby chair is pretty standard.
LMM rating: 8/10 for baby friendly environment. There is no kids menu but the ambience and the restaurant staff is great. The food is good but a bit on the high side.
